The New York Museum of Transportation announces its winter event schedule including slide talks and presentations on area trolley history, the Rochester Subway, the Can of Worms, the history of the telegraph and many other interesting topics. All events are on Sundays. They start at 1:00 pm in the museum gallery and are free with admission ($5.00 adults, $4.00 age 3-12).
Sunday, January 11 “The Rochester Subway”
Enjoy a presentation of historic images from the museum’s vast photo archive that portray the Rochester Subway from construction, through operation, to its abandonment in 1956. The presentation of black-and-white and color slides will be narrated by museum trustee and historian Jim Dierks.
