Sunday, February 8 “A History of the Can of Worms”
Rochester’s I-490/I-590 expressway interchange is a complex engineering work with a fascinating history. It first opened in 1964, and was later rebuilt between 1987 and 1991 to its current configuration. Local transportation engineer and historian Charles Lowe will tell how the infamous original interchange came into being along with a summary of how the present interchange was redesigned and rebuilt.
