June 5, 2016 @ 7:00 am - 8:30 pm

Adirondack Scenic Railroad

Thanks for your support!

Sold Out

Join the Rochester & Genesee Valley Railroad Museum for a special day trip to ride the Adirondack Scenic Railroad from Utica nearly 70 miles over former New York Central rails to Big Moose and return. Our private motor-coach departs Industry at 7:00 a.m. for the trip to Utica where we will board the train.

Ride the Adirondack Scenic Railroad in a reserved air-conditioned coach or enjoy the open-air car. Visit the highest point on the railroad at Big Moose. Photo opportunities are planned. Bring your own lunch or eat in the snack bar car. A dinner stop will be made somewhere along the Thruway on the return trip to Rochester, or bring your own food. The motor coach will return to Industry around 8:30 p.m.

This event is open to the public, but is limited to just 54 seats. Tickets are $110.00 each (plus $3.19 service charge), and includes round-trip motor coach transportation and the round-trip train ride. Don’t miss this rare opportunity, ticket sales end May 15!

The Rochester & Genesee Valley Railroad Museum can trace its roots back to 1937 as the Rochester Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society. Since our museum was established in 1971, we have preserved more than 40 pieces of historic railroad equipment along with our 1909 Erie Railroad passenger station to bring Rochester's rich railroading heritage to life.
